The Long Haul
Over the many Years, I have collected various Mp3 albums and they normally came with TRACK1 etc along with no proper tagging or even Album Art. I was not that Bothered at the time as I either wrote it to CD to listen in the Car or just listened randomly, so was not concerned about the proper Tagging.

This all changed when I bought my Wife a iPod, It was not good enough to be scrolling through no Picture with many Track1 etc, so it was a time to start Tagging these suckers up to make it a workable experience. I grabbed MP3TAG which is a Free Application to Tag the tracks using FreeDB or Amazon for example, put in Cover Art and so forth. This sometimes has trouble with the Cover Art so I have to jump to Tag&Rename.

As you can understand this is going to take some time, on top of this, sometimes iTunes puts one Album as each track as one Album, this can be sorted by selecting all and saying its a Compilation or even worse, re-tagging the entire thing to make sure it stays as one Album. This is why I am dragging One album at a time, making sure its fine and going through from A-Z. On top of this, I am also still tagging the many I have not done yet.

I do get some Albums where it cannot find an entry, so have to Tag this by hand – this gets annoying after a while, so only do so many per day. Eventually I will have Tagged everything and have my entire music collection in both the iPod and itunes.
