I was more then happy to visit other streams to help out with the tech side and so forth but I felt these streams are moving too slow for my liking. The only way to move this forward is to in fact start my own stream and present the kind of show I want to watch (if you see what I mean) while also providing the backbone for on-going communication when the stream is not live.
To break down the External sources for example, I can have a front page with many menu options to jump of – which would include a Blog (this one of course) for general banter, a tech Blog to write up guides and reviews, a Forum to allow people to post questions no matter what time of day and even a download section should the need arise.
As for the Stream itself – instead of just sitting there chatting to passing people – it would be better to provide some content, such as Installing various operating systems, testing out software and live video guides of anything tech. There could be a dedicated time for Q&A as well as chill-out time for general banter. I beleive this is what all the so called “tech” Streams are lacking, they are nothing more then a meeting place for people to chin wag.
