I had some inspiration that I should go on a purge of all the web sites that I personally think I should stop using, I slept on it overnight to make sure it was not a flash in the pan idea that I would regret later and once my mind was made up, I went on a purge of all the site I had registered and used.

USTREAM TV

The first casualty was Ustream.TV – this was of no use to me and I had my fill so armed with this I made sure I deleted the Video’s I had recorded, removed the show and finally the user accounts, I Mirrored this on my IRC Client, no more shall I be on there for whatever reason, be it watching shows or broadcasting.

BLOG.TV

This was another Streaming show that I had two accounts on and had tested streaming plus recorded some video. They allow you to delete the accounts fully and I did this on both meaning again this is another site that I cannot see myself either streaming from or visiting.

FACEBOOK

I had left FaceBook once before and it is not so much as a delete but rather make the account inactive. For some time now I had not really seen the point of updating what I was doing and for most part not that bothered what others were doing either. I choose to once again de-activate the account and leave this behind for maybe the last time.

TWITTER

I added many people and had twitter clients to tell me what was going on but did I need to know that a person is now out of bed, making something to eat, bored and so forth? Did people really read that i was updating my web site, playing a game or on Skype? The answer for most part was probably no, so with this I removed the account and the client software and it is not something I will miss to be honest.

NING Sites

I went through a few of these Ning sites and removed myself from them, I am not really a Fan anyhow of Ning and happy to try and keep mine going but not happy to update others along the way. One of them I was Admin on and by me delting myself cannot be accused of messing with the settings. The other was Chris Pirillo Geeks Site which seem to email me way too much, so that went as well.

Other Comments

I went through a few other sites but could not find a way to delete myself – these will just have to be left alone, I removed many from my Favourites anyhow. You may well ask “What you going to do now you have removed all these sites” – to answer this is quite simple, I will work more on my own site’s and streaming and stop worrying about what other people are doing. I will probably have upset a few people for my actions but I feel the need to move forward
