Free Windows 7 Home Premium from Dell

Microsoft allowed anyone buying a new pc between July onwards this year to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 for Free and as I bought a Refurbished Dell – then I added my system tag to the said list and waited. Now a big company like Dell or Microsoft you would expect the wonders of automation and an email to be sitting inside my inbox telling me it was ready to ship right? Well no – a big company like dell like to make YOU do all the hard work it seems – shame on you Dell.
Systems not in sync?
I Logged into the Site and then go through entering ALL my info again – Dell already has this in spades yet there programmers have yet to work out how to access it from there own site? I finally got to the end and it was very slow indeed and the moment I dropped down United Kingdom ALL the info I had just entered was wiped clean !! Really Dell, sack the web dev team and start again – they are making you look like little boys in the bedroom with that type of programming.
When Free does not mean Free
The product was Free but the shipping was £13.50 and the tax was £1.50 – a tax on nothing – not bad going. This means a product I can buy in the stores for £50 (online) I had to pay £15 – a saving of £35 then but the store online can get me this product the next day, Dell might start shipping on the 26th Oct – amazing.
—=Sunday 25th Oct Update=—–
As you can see from the Screenshot, no information whatsoever – I am beginning to wish I had not bothered at all to be honest and as each day goes by my faith in Dell is going down hill. I will check on Monday and if nothing has changed, I shall be calling them up.

27th October – Rang Dell and after a LONG time on Hold and passing to a lot of people (wrong country, wrong dept etc) I got told it was on Order and will come from Microsoft, Dell have no way to track this and it will arrive when it arrives – never again do I buy from this shambles of a company.
