Google Chrome – Not living up to the Hype
I had noticed a couple of problems when using my otherwise fine Firefox 3.6, one been the pause when you first go to a page and the other was the browser crashing when trying to view Justin.TV Archives function (when it got to the end of the segment).
I was tempted to try Google Chrome after everybody told me how good it was, faster, better and all round amazing. Could I take Chrome and make it my main browsing platform? Had it come a long way since I last tried it? Did it use a lot less memory and was it more secure?

The case of the hacked Steam account
For those that are no in the know – Steam is the company that runs the servers and account details of games such as Half Life 2 and such – the FULL game list I have linked. When you buy a game that is Steam enabled, when you go to install you need a steam account and that game (plus serial) is now linked to that account. If anything happens to this account – the game on the shelf is of no use, you cannot play without that account or re-register another account and install. Icy Box Docking Station SATA HDD
One of my recent purchases was this Icy Box Docking Station for 2.3” + 3.5” HDD which features a SATA + USB Interface. I bought this one from Aria UK for £18. I already own a 3.5” SATA Drive bay which features USB & eSATA but did not have the eSATA Lead and there is no way I was going to spend loads on postage just for a cheap lead. Having a handful of loose 2.5” SATA Drives hanging about as well as some 3.5” Models plus the Dell I own having eSATA built in as standard – I was good to go.

You want to create your own Adobe Air Application which you can distribute to your friends, say for example an application to let people watch your stream? I followed a quick guide online using nothing more then Notepad and dos prompt and ended off with an Application that runs on all platforms.
Linux Mint 8 – another day at the office
If you look at the last story on the Toshiba 1800-400 Laptop, you would have seen how I never managed to get an Old laptop working at all on Linux, in this instance Windows XP gives you a VGA driver before installing any chipset drivers, which means you can at least see what is going on and it does not crash when you insert a PCMCIA Card. Today, I thought I would install the same Linux Mint 8 on a desktop computer, surely this would work much better right?
