My wife was in need of a new phone, her last phone she put in the washing machine by mistake which killed it dead, the only problem was the contract does not run out till march 2012. She uses the iPad all the time (the one I won from GFI) and she is not really technical minded at all. The phone she was using was my HTC Hero which runs Android 2.1 and she could not for the life of her get used to that, it was in fact too complicated. There was a few options, one of these would have been a blackberry device for example, plenty of them on offer for £10 a month and it has a keyboard. Why did we go with the iPhone 4S over any other phone? Read on to find out.

Why I choose the iPhone 4S for the Wife
Garnell Nutrition As One 40
My last batch of Weight gain did not last that long at all, I got it on the 25th Oct and already I was in need of something else. The main reason for the 5.45KG bag of Weight gain going so quick was the amount of stuff you add the the container and also the fact I took it three times a day. I did manage to put on half a stone which is not bad, so yes it does work. I thought this time I would go for some “All in one” and looking around, Garnell All in one seemed to do the trick. I found in my experience so far that the all-in-one products seem to suit me better.
Blackberry PlayBook drops in price
Recently on my travels looking for a tablet computer, I noticed that they have dropped the price of the BlackBerry Playbook. It comes in 3 models 16GIG – £249, 32GIG – £329 and 64GIG – £409. If you were just to look at this from a normal ‘person on the ground’ view point, you could argue that at £249 it is £150 cheaper than the iPad, smaller which means easier to carry around and it all does the same thing right? While I have not bought one as of yet, this is what I found out so far about the device.
Turning my Back on Social Media
I have never really been a great fan of Social Media, I just fail to see the bigger picture on what it is meant to do for you and in my eyes just lets everybody know your business. When Google plus came about, it was exciting at first but as time moved on, it just became the very same as the rest, people spamming stuff on there and touting there business. What caused me to pull back once again from my chosen social sites? What made me drop contact with people I respected and treated as friends? What made me jump right back to Skype?
DD-WRT Router Firmware replacement
DD-WRT has been going for some time now and it is in effect a complete replacement firmware for your router. Virgin Media supplied the D-Link 615 Rev 4 and I found this to be very slow, very restrictive and missing some important features. Instead of buying a new router, I went with DD-WRT instead. You can head off to the Main site for DD_WRT and find the files for your own brand of router.
Why Retail Stores Fail the consumer
Just the other day I decided to go out and replace my current Hoover to a shiny new Dyson DC24 and after doing some research on-line, I work out that the prices should be £200 for the Yellow model (called All floor) and about £240 for the DC24 Animal. I drove to my local retail park and first headed off to PCWorld / Currys (its a combined store). The prices looked rather high and as there was not a single sales person about – I ventured off across the road to the local Comet store. It was at this point it was clear how these stores work – let me explain.
