My First Visit to an Apple Store
Jul 23rd
Today I went to Meadow Hall Centre which is shopping centre based in Sheffield and I spotted they had one of these so called “Apple Stores” – so I ventured in. The Store reminded me of a mobile phone store with products laid out on tables, chained to the desk and people playing with them with the odd person walking around asking if you wanted any help. This would be a good time for me to have a play with all the apple products and see them in the flesh. Would I pull my wallet out and by something or would I walk away laughing to myself that people pay so much for these things?
Fanboys
Apr 19th
It is a well worn subject of the Mac vs. The PC (They mean windows right), we have Xbox360 vs. PS3, iPhone vs. Android and the list goes on. While there is a need to think what you have or what choice you make on buying something matters, the reality is the people who are making the stuff are lining there pockets with the money the Fan boys spend on this gear they think is so wonderful. I aim to discuss what I think the reason this all comes about and to dispel some myth’s along the way if I can.
Android App Market hits 20K
Dec 15th
The Number of Apps on the Android has hit 20,000 which by comparison, Apple Apps are now at 100,000. This is good news for Android users as it looks like finally the google platform is finally starting to make a dent on the ever popular Apple platform.
The figures were collected and crunched by Android-focused website, Androlib, which hasn’t said where it got its figures. It has however been tracking Android apps since its launch as Googld doesn’t disclose statistical data related to Android.
Nearly a third of those applications are paid for and according to Androlib, the end of November 209 saw a spike when more than 350 applications and games were published on a single day.
Finally, the overwhelming number of applications in the market – 85 percent – are non gaming. Android Market passed the 10,000 app count back in July 2009. 2010 is going to be a pretty exciting year for the Android platform, bring on the Nexus!

In case you don’t know who John Hodgman is – he is the Guy in the picture on the left who plays “I’m a PC” but in an interview with Diggnation, he revelaed he was given an ipod and a MacBook Pro for the first lot of Apple commercials. John says he loves apple products – does this give a different slant on the Commercial?

The Items were either returned, fixed and no needed and it could shave off a lot of money as a good alternative to a brand new product. Most Items also come with a full 12 Month Warranty as well.
End of the Line for the iMac
Jun 9th
I was a long time supporter of all things PC and by this I mean Windows, Linux, Build it yourself desktop machine and so forth – Apple were (and still are) expensive for what you actually get considering now they use the same hardware as a desktop PC. What you may also have noticed was wrote about and Owned a top of the range iMac – so how come this post? Let me explain all.
iStopMotion2 – Boinx Software

Remember how you watched, fascinated, when King Kong climb the Empire State building? When Luke Skywalker rode the ice beasts? When Wallace and Gromit hunted down the Were-Rabbit? For centuries now, stop motion animation has made the fantasies of film makers come true.
It’s simple to use, it’s deceptively powerful, and it’s tremendous fun. It brings purpose to the digital lifestyle, making it more than a marketing phrase for Apple.
Apple ripoff pricing
Jan 27th
Ilife 09 on the apple store USA comes in at $79 but if you now convert across to UK prices – that £69. I used XE to see how much it really is – it comes out as £56 and let us not forget that shipping is added anyhow on top of those prices. The only thing I can think of is Taxes – maybe it is more to sell to UK?
The problem of swapping the $ sign for the £ sign happens way too much though – making the price of the item double the price, they wonder why people torrent? well this is maybe one of the reasons.
