I came across a strange problem at work, a person could not open any Excel documents from email, short-cuts on his desktop and so forth but he could open up Excel and open the file that way. My first course of action was to go into add/remove and repair the office install, this never fixed the problem. Going to the windows update, I made sure it had all the updates, still the problem was there. I did some searching around and found the answer, this I would like to share with you.

Still no Sign of Playstation Network
It is now the 8th May 2011 and although Sony have been making noises about offering a free Month of PSN+ service, a free game of some sort and other such good things, In the UK nothing has been heard and still no news of getting the service back. I have heard of people selling there PS3 and buying an XBOX360 and saying they will never buy a Sony product ever again and if you do not, then you must be a fan boy or something. I want to set the record straight from my own viewpoint of this whole PS3 debates.
Libraries under threat–what next?
Today in the news we have a story that says in the UK 400 libraries are under threat of closure. Does this news surprise anyone much in the same way we hear the the post office is not doing as much business as it used to in the day before computer? When was the last time you went out and spent time in an library and borrowed a book? I recall my past when I used to head down to the libirary to first read the latest computer magazines (which had been handled by many people before me – think of the germs crossing over there) and the loaning some computer books. I remember not been able to have enough time to read the books and more often then not returning them without having read through them all or having to pay a fine when I was late bringing them back.
