If you remember back, Microsoft created a powertool that allowed you to re-size picture on the fly, the only problem was, these only ran in Windows XP. If you have Vista or Windows 7, then Brice Lambson has re-created this tool for the latter operating systems. You can download the software via his site which comes in both a 32bit and 64bit flavour.

Virgin Media Upgrade my Upload Speed
Virgin media are currently upgrading everyone Upload speed and preparing the exchange for the new 100mbit. Going by the PDF it says my area is not due till Aug 2011. I just by sheer luck tested my speed and got the speed above. Basically its 50mbit download and 5mbit upload. Of course this also means they will throttle back my torrents and news server downloads.
Free iphone, ipad, ipod and Android game each day (DEC)
We all know December is the longest and most unfair month of the year: why wait until the 25th to receive your Christmas presents? We at Gameloft have decided to put an end to this mean practice by offering a surprise gift every day in December until Christmas to all our fans and anyone who is in the festive spirit.
Tunngle – Peer to Peer VPN
The best way to describe what Tunngle does is let you play games on-line with your mates but to the game it looks like the game is running from the LAN Interface. The other program that Springs to mind is Hamanchi - my memory of Hamanchi is you add people to a group, one create a server in the game and the rest join. Tunngle works by having rooms (organized by game name) and you join the room with people in, start the game and you will be presented with a list of servers people are running. I thought I would try this out and this is my very quick overview of how it works.
Fragger – Online Puzzle Game
Ever want to just blow up enemies in fun physics puzzles? Look no further than Fragger. Clean, cartoony graphics mixed with gameplay reminiscent of Worms, it’s an excellent, if short, browser game. There are a few minor problems, but if you want to blow off some steam and test your brain at the same time, there’s no better way to blow a lunch break.
Fragger revolves around throwing grenades to kill enemies and manipulate the environment. If you are familiar with grenade throwing in Worms, you will instantly be comfortable with Fragger. Grenades have a several second timer, or explode shortly after coming to a full stop. You can aim in almost any direction, and determine the power through simple mouse movements. There’s no built-in level editor or player-designed levels, and the game has minimal re-playability, as well as a lack of full-scale mayhem, but it is certainly fun!
Macrium Reflect – Disk Imaging
If you are in the market for a tool that can take an image of a hard drive, save it to a file and allow you to roll out this image to many computers or even just as a way to back up a complete machine – then there is a solution out there that comes as either a Free version or paid, depending on your needs. The product in question is Macrium Reflect and I will go through how I used this as a alternative to Norton Ghost and a few issues I found along the way.
Vaughn Vx51 Justin.TV Chat client
Justin.TV has its own chat and you can sort of connect via IRC instead of using the in-built chat client. A Much better way is to use a client written by Vaughn, its is a IRC Client with built in video viewer and takes up much less room. You can find the program HERE – enjoy. It is Windows only by the way.
Skype on the HTC Hero
In the news today I read that Skype had finally released – you can read it on there blog and basically it states it is for all Android phones running 2.1 or 2.2 of the OS. There was me in my previous post getting rid of Skype due to lack of use and today we see it can be used on my phone – deep joy.
Growl for Windows
Back when I owned a iMac, I installed and used Growl for Mac – the utility ran in the background and popped up telling you when the track changed in iTunes, you had new mail and various other functions. Back then the Windows Version was not so good and very early in development – it is not until recently that I downloaded an application that could send Growl messages – I went on my search for the Windows version.
