I thought I would write a new post with my thoughts on the new iMac that I bought, this may help some people who are not sure if spending that much money on a computer is worth it or not. I need to add of course that I have owned the 24 inch iMac and know enough about this sort of thing already. Given the time since using Apple computer in a proper sense (I have a Hackintosh running 10.5.8), it would be nice to see what has changed, how much I had forgot and how working on such a large display would either Aid me in my work or hinder me due to the size. Let us begin then on this journey back to the mac. READ MORE »

Logitech roll out some new hardware
If your looking for some new gear for the PC from the fine hardware people at Logitech, then good news people – they have brought out some new toys for you to buy. We have a wireless headset, a mouse and a keyboard. The Wireless Gaming Headset G930, the Wireless Gaming Mouse G700, and the Gaming Keyboard G510. All three products are currently up for purchase on Logitech’s website, but are also slated to hit retail shelves soon.
Can Microsoft Actually make Good Hardware?
After speaking to various people and the various hardware i have bought in the past plus stuff I already own, my question is “Can Microsoft actually make good hardware”? There is a very good reason for asking this very question and we go on to discuss future Microsoft hardware, should you trust this Software giant to make hardware that works on there very own operating system?
Dell Keyboard & Mouse
The Keyboard and Mouse that came with the Dell was a funny looking thing and it was not something I had intended to use as I have the Logitech 710 Set along with the Microsoft 6000 Set, so no shortage of decent Wireless Keyboard & Mice. I thought I would share with you though what came with my Dell as I have never seen anything like it nor can I find any images of it on the web or the Dell site….
Medion 6 Button Laser Mouse
Medion 6 Button Profssional Mouse
As my Mighty Mouse (Wired) was having issues – I had swapped to a standard MS Wired mouse until I got around to buying one. I was in ALDI Today and spotted this mouse at the checkout. In regards to it fitting the bill:
- Price was right at £15
- Laser Mouse
- Many Buttons (Always handy)
- DPI Switch

Microsoft Mobility Pack
I was looking for a proper Laptop Webcam, something High reselution, small and designed from the start for a Laptop. I by chance came across Microsoft Mobility Pack and this is as follows:
High Definition 2.0 Megapixel Video(LifeCam) with built in Microphone and has a fitting for attachment to a Laptop. The Reseltuion is 1600×1200 which is not bad – of course for video work (Ustream etc) they do not support this high a resolution. The mouse is a Laser mouse and the USB Dongle fits into the mouse itself which takes one battery.
The Price for this was £34 – which I personally think is very good, the original price quoted was £49 and I have seen them on-line for £60+ – I am happy to pay that much, the specs are good (2mp, laser Mouse etc) and the price is good. I will be using the mouse on my Acer One as it goes. I will make a montage for you later – to show the various Camera’s.
