Time to rejoice PS3 people because finally Sony have started to flip the switches around the world and they are finally the PSN to live once again. The first part was to download a firmware update (3.61) and then when I got the word, logged onto PSN vis the PS3. It asked me to change my password – which makes sense as the hackers have them all now and once that was complete, I was back online. Nothing showed up yet in the way of a “sorry we had the PSN down so long” bonus that I heard about but I am sure it will come out soon.

Playstation Network Finally comes back online
Still no Sign of Playstation Network
It is now the 8th May 2011 and although Sony have been making noises about offering a free Month of PSN+ service, a free game of some sort and other such good things, In the UK nothing has been heard and still no news of getting the service back. I have heard of people selling there PS3 and buying an XBOX360 and saying they will never buy a Sony product ever again and if you do not, then you must be a fan boy or something. I want to set the record straight from my own viewpoint of this whole PS3 debates.
Police Raid PS3 hackers House
In the on-going war between the PS3 hackers and Sony – Hacker Graf_chokolo was raided by the police with items removed. Graf has contributed a number of things to the PS3 hacking community that has helped keep it active in its battle against Sony’s frequent firmware updates. The police confiscated all of Graf’s equipment and accounts that were related to PS3 hacking. Unfortunately for Sony, the company probably never anticipated that Graf would strike back. Earlier Graf had promised that if he was pushed by Sony, he would retaliate by releasing all of his PS3 hypervisor knowledge to the world.
Keeping his promise, Graf_chokolo immediately released all of his databases to the world in what has now become known as the Hypervisor Bible, a plethora of information that will help developers around the world reverse engineer the PS3 and hack it some more.
“Guys, i don’t joke, it’s serious.” Graf stated. “And to prove it, i kept my word and uploaded all my HV reversing stuff. Upload it everywhere so SONY couldn’t remove it easily. Grab it guys, it contains lots of knowledge about HV and HV procs.”
Are Sony just wasting there time here and are they driving people away from buying the PS3 – I think so.
PS3 Wireless Bluetooth Headset Review
Even though the PS3 could be used with my Current Logitech USB Headset or my Bluetooth Headset from my Mobile phone, the Bluetooth headset from Sony designed for the PS3 had a lot going for it compared to the other solutions. Whilst I agree that at this time I do not actually speak to anyone in-game via the PS3, I have already seen items I looked at before go up in price – so with this when I pasted by a store I had seen the price cheaper than the rest – I took the plunge, placed my hard earned cash on the desk and bought this device. The goal of this article is to go through the first 48 hours of owning the device and what to expect if you bought one.
First Batch of PS3 games
I set off today to get my hands on some games for the Sony Playstation 3 and I had already in my head a collection of games that I would like to buy depending of course on the price. I visited various stores while I was out anyhow doing the weekend shop and this included Morrisons, Game, Curry’s and Gamestation along with a couple of trade in shops (They sell second hand equipment). While I would have loved to have bought many of the games I saw, I had to keep the price down and settle for a handful of games in the end.
Fanboys
It is a well worn subject of the Mac vs. The PC (They mean windows right), we have Xbox360 vs. PS3, iPhone vs. Android and the list goes on. While there is a need to think what you have or what choice you make on buying something matters, the reality is the people who are making the stuff are lining there pockets with the money the Fan boys spend on this gear they think is so wonderful. I aim to discuss what I think the reason this all comes about and to dispel some myth’s along the way if I can.
The problem wth retail stores today
Sony HC51
After looking into every angle on which camera to buy and finally thinking about buying one at long last, I had said to myself that the Sony HC51 which used Tapes but had firewire was the model of choice. The local Curry’s had this very model on sale for £135. Now I know I could find it on-line for £119 but by the time you add P&P – then its not such a bad price and of course you get to take it home then and there.
