I want to take you back all the way to 2007, this is when the first sites started to come up which allowed anyone with a computer, webcam and a microphone the ability to have their very own TV show if you like. Back in them days, of course, we had no adverts and there was many people jumping on the bandwagon to start their very own show. If we look towards the tech shows of the time, two people were ahead of the game; this being Chris Pirillo & Leo Laporte. These people were no strangers to TV, they used to be on the USA show TechTV and many people strived to be like them, the same sort of show, the same graphics and even the same format. Running out of Tech Items to buy
There was a time when I was either looking on-line or in a large Tech store (such as PC World) and I would be looking at items I had no idea I needed but somehow bought anyhow to add to my collection. Eventually though, you can et to a point when the more sensible side of you asks that question in your head “Do I need yet another external hard drive?”. I think it depends on what items you buy in the first place that can cut down in the number of “other” items you need to buy and eventually as I stated, you walk around and see nothing on offer that you seriously need and thus save your hard earned money.
50Mbit update and QoS
Its been a full week of my upgrade to the 50mbit and I thought I would write a post just updating people on how it is going and some lessons learnt. The important thing to note I suppose is that jumping around the speedtest sites and getting annoyed when it does not do what it says on the tin only serves to annoy you when in reality it could be the site your testing from that does not have enough bandwidth.
